**About the role**
A new opportunity has become available at Life Without Barriers for a **Housing and Contract Manager** to support our National Immigration Support Services (NISS) program. NISS is responsible for delivery of program/s supporting clients from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds.
This position is being offered as **permanent, full-time **position and can be based at our offices in **Melbourne **or** Sydney **with flexibility to work from home. Interstate travel will be required.
The purpose of the NISS Housing and Contract Manager position is to support the formulation and execution of strategic and operational plans to manage the NISS housing portfolio.
The incumbent will:
- be a single, senior point of contact in relation contract management, housing management, performance, and delivery
- support NISS programs to deliver services in line with contractual requirements, policy and procedures and the model.
- provide internal support to teams to understand contractual requirements and opportunities and assisting to address more complex housing and contractual issues
- Lead a team that supports NISS to ensure housing portfolio compliance, proactively identifies, responds to and resolves property and housing matters, including team and funding body contract support
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead and support a team to achieve the business plan outcomes and other organisational programs and initiatives whilst demonstrating LWB's values.
- Monitor, coach, support, motivate and develop team members to enable them to deliver to the best of their ability.
- Provide leadership in developing and implementing a culture of service excellence, working to implement and embed strategies needed to bring about lasting improvements across the organisation in CYF services.
- Formulate strategic and operational plans to manage NISS Housing portfolio
- Develop and implement strategies which offer client focused property and housing solutions to ensure the continuity of property compliance.
- Monitor, review and manage NISS housing and property management requirements, processes and procedures
- Provide analysis and recommendations to business regarding management and performance of NISS property portfolio including identifying and addressing risks and managing the financial sustainability of LWB properties
**Skills & Experience**
Relevant tertiary qualifications in fields such as business, property, project management or related discipline.
- Sound knowledge of property management principles, policies, procedures and practices and current issues.
- Proven experience in building and managing relationships, conducting complex negotiations with key stakeholders from government agencies, suppliers, and NGOs
- Significant experience in business and/or property management or similar experience working within an asset portfolio of a medium to large organisation
- Demonstrated experience in the management of budgets and project and / or change management.
- Demonstrated experience in managing competing priorities and to deliver high quality outcomes within agreed timeframes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for the creation and presentation of reports, correspondence, and other materials.
- Current Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence
