Business Development Manager - Visy Specialties

At Visy, we love solving problems. And that’s something we do better together. We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Visy Specialties team in Penrith and help grow our packaging footprint across New South Wales.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Sales Manager – Southern Region, this full time role is responsible for managing a portfolio of key customer accounts while driving new business opportunities to meet sales and margin targets. You’ll collaborate with internal teams to deliver outstanding customer outcomes, manage contract negotiations, and provide market intelligence to support profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts to achieve sales budgets and margin targets.
- Prospect and secure new business opportunities to meet set growth objectives.
- Prepare quotes, artwork approvals and contract negotiations in line with business direction.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure customer expectations and deadlines are met.
- Provide market insights to assist with pricing strategies and margin improvement.
- Use CRM systems (Salesforce/Visyflow) for accurate forecasting, reporting and pipeline management.
- Partner with operations and quality teams to resolve product or service issues and drive continuous improvement.
What You Will Bring to the Team
- Proven experience in B2B sales, account management or business development.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills, with a customer-first mindset.
- Financial acumen with the ability to develop budgets and manage margins.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
- Knowledge of packaging or manufacturing processes is desirable but not essential.
