The Role
Adbri Cement NT have an opportunity for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong decision-making ability to join our Darwin team.
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Packaged Products Operator is responsible for ensuring the site requirements are met to ensure that the plant and equipment at the work area is operated at its highest availability, safely and without environmental impact.
We are looking for a versatile and reliable person who has the ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
As the successful candidate you will be responsible for the safe and efficient bagging, palletising and movement of cement material, operating fixed and mobile plant as well as regular maintenance of machinery.
Responsibilities
* Liaise with Production Supervisor to ensure all customer orders are fulfilled and minimum stock levels are maintained
* Operation of bagging machine, palletiser & forklift for the movement of goods to/from the work area
* Quality Assurance and packaging of outgoing goods
* Liaising with customers and external freight providers
* Basic maintenance of forklifts, plant, and equipment in the work area
* Load and unload trucks safely and accurately
* General labouring duties
* Ensure safety, health and environment standards are maintained
What you will need to succeed
* Current high risk forklift ticket
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Intermediate Computer Knowledge
* Self-motivation and a willingness to learn
* Ability to communicate confidently with staff, customers and contractors
* Previous experience in a similar role desirable
* Mechanical aptitude
