The Opportunity
We are seeking a
Senior Financial Accountant
to play a key role in maintaining financial integrity and delivering high-quality, audit-ready reporting across the William Adams Group.
Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, this role suits a technically strong accountant who thrives in a complex, multi-entity environment and enjoys combining hands-on delivery with leadership and continuous improvement. You will be a trusted advisor within the finance team, supporting senior decision-making while mentoring junior accountants and strengthening internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain general ledger integrity and deliver month-end and year-end financial reporting across multiple entities.
* Ensure compliance with IFRS, statutory and internal reporting requirements, including IFRS 16.
* Prepare and lodge BAS, PAYG and FBT reporting and support provision and subsidiary financial statements.
* Coordinate and support external audits across Australia, Singapore and Vietnam, acting as a key liaison with auditors and group stakeholders.
* Provide accurate, timely financial insights to support management reporting and decision-making.
* Mentor and support direct reports and act as delegate for the Financial Reporting Manager when required.
* Contribute to budgeting, strengthen internal controls and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Support environmental and sustainability reporting requirements.
About You
You are a technically confident, detail-focused accounting professional with strong judgement and a continuous improvement mindset. You bring:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with CA or CPA qualification.
* 5+ years' experience in a commercial or chartered environment (Big 4 highly regarded).
* Strong technical accounting capability, including IFRS and multi-entity reporting.
* Proven experience delivering month-end, year-end and audit processes.
* Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
* The ability to mentor others and step into a senior leadership role.
Experience with TM1, SQL or financial modelling will be well regarded.
