About The Role
The Registered Nurse is a key member of the multidisciplinary team providing mental health care to children, adolescents and their families/carers in the Orange area. The successful applicant will bring energy & enthusiasm to the role, work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team & have a focus on the delivery of evidence based mental health interventions to children, young people and families.
This role sits within the Infant Child Youth & Family (ICYF) mental health services which operate from Bloomfield Hospital, Orange. The Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health team is a multidisciplinary team working with young people up to age 18 with mental health challenges that are having a significant impact on their daily life. ICYF consists of services ranging from early intervention through to acute services.
The team partners with a range of health services and other agencies including the Department of Education, NSW Department of Communities & Justice, Headspace and other Government and non-Government agencies across the area.
Responsibilities
* Provide mental health care to children, adolescents and their families/carers as part of a multidisciplinary team in the Orange area.
* Deliver evidence-based mental health interventions to children, young people and families.
* Collaborate with health services and other agencies to support patient care and outcomes.
* Participate in learning and development opportunities to build skills in child and adolescent mental health.
Working Arrangements
This position is Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm, not working public holidays. Monthly ADOs are available for full time staff. Paid leave entitlements, generous salary packaging and other fringe benefits apply. Corporate wellbeing programs including Fitness Passport.
