This is a rewarding prospect to plan and coordinate an Outdoor Education Program encompassing a selection of innovative and educational outdoor experiences for junior and senior school students.
Contribute to program design, implementation and evaluation, encourage and grow participation and achievement outcomes, promote outdoor education as enjoyable, manage logistics and safety protocols, and coordinate unforgettable engaging and experiential outdoor learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organise and lead outdoor education experiences
- Coordinate the College Duke of Edinburgh program
- Coordinate the College Indoor Rock-Climbing Club
- Administer the Outdoor Education Program
- Work collaboratively with others to achieve best outcome
- Be responsible for Outdoor Education inventory, procurement and administration
- Ensure safe and effective risk management practices

Requirements:
- Proven experience leading and coordinating outdoor education programs
- Strong navigation, mapping, fitness, aquatic and remote or wilderness survival skills
- Competence in a diverse range of outdoor activities including bushwalking, abseiling, rock climbing or canoeing/kayaking
- Effective interpersonal skills, discretion, resilience and a passion for student development
- Strong integrity, reliability, adaptability and commitment to quality Program delivery
- Digital literacy, attention to detail, organisational skills and risk management ability
- Duke of Edinburgh Adventure Journey Supervisor status or eligibility to attain
- Outdoor education and/or outdoor activity qualifications well regarded
- Current Working with Children blue card, First Aid and CPR certification and open class driver licence or mid rig bus licence
- Availability to work flexible hours and travel overnight
