We are seeking qualified and safety-focused Mechanical Fitters to support our Fixed Plant operations. In this role, you will carry out essential preventative and corrective maintenance to keep our equipment running smoothly and reliably. You'll be part of a skilled maintenance team working across various plant assets. Description Key Responsibilities Conduct routine and emergency mechanical maintenance on fixed plant equipment Inspect, repair, and service pumps, conveyors, crushers, and other plant systems Identify faults and complete work to high standards with minimal rework Isolate equipment and follow strict safety and maintenance procedures Use SAP (or similar system) to record maintenance tasks and reports Contribute to continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives Must be Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be considered for this role. Profile Qualifications & Skills Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter WA 'C' Class Manual Driver's Licence (required) Experience in fixed plant or heavy industry preferred Basic welding, oxy cutting, and hydraulic/pneumatic skills Strong commitment to safety and teamwork Ability to work flexibly in a dynamic operational environment Job Offer Why Join Rio Tinto?
