The role
About the Opportunity
UGL is seeking an experienced E&I supervisor to support a major LNG turnaround at Wheatstone. This is a 4‐month contract on a 2‐2 roster (12‐hour days), commencing in June. The role is ideally suited to a supervisor with strong LNG/tar experience, a solid understanding of E&I planning and JDE (desirable), and the ability to operate independently in a fast‐paced, high‐compliance environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead: directly manage and lead a team of E&I technicians and electricians to ensure seamless coordination and collaboration in executing project tasks.
- Safety compliance: enforce and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring that all electrical and instrumentation activities adhere to industry safety standards and company policies.
- Quality assurance: conduct regular inspections to ensure the quality of work meets project standards and specifications.
- Schedule management: develop and maintain a comprehensive schedule for electrical activities, coordinating with other disciplines to optimize project timelines.
- Resource allocation: efficiently allocate resources, equipment and materials to meet project requirements and deadlines.
- Communication: foster effective communication within the team and collaborate with other discipline supervisors and project managers to address challenges and ensure smooth project progression.
- Problem solving: proactively identify and resolve issues related to activities, providing innovative solutions to overcome obstacles.
- Documentation: ensure accurate and timely documentation of HV activities, including daily reports, progress reports and any required project documentation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an E&I supervisor within LNG/oil & gas turnaround environments.
- Strong hands‐on experience with E&I planning & execution (mandatory).
- Experience working in tier‐1 or major shutdown environments.
- Working knowledge of JDE and CMMS‐based job planning systems (highly desirable).
- Strong Excel capability and high computer literacy (Power BI and web‐based tools advantageous).
- Ability to work independently while engaging effectively with client representatives.
