A great opportunity has opened at Goodstart within the Business Services (Finance) Department for a Payroll Officer to join the team on a 12-month fixed term contract. The Payroll Officer is responsible for ensuring the delivery and maintenance of Payroll for all employees, this includes processing of weekly pays, maintenance of employee information. Position Management and maintaining a strong customer service relationship with customers and stakeholders.
The role is based at our newly renovated Head Office in Murarrie, Brisbane, however we support a hybrid work from home arrangement upon completion of training.
Your Impact
Responsible for the maintenance and updating of employee records, including Taxation, Superannuation, Higher Duties, Salary Sacrifice, Amendments and Transfers.
Processing termination and resignation advices within the Company's timeframe, the Australian Taxation Office Regulations and relevant Legislative Employment guidelines.
Ensuring all workers compensation and all back payments are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
Responsible for the maintenance and updating of employee personal records, including bank account details and contact details changes.
Prepare and action weekly Employee Services reporting in line with checklists.
Produce Separation Certificates and Statements of Service as required.
Action any Payroll queries and ensure any complex matters are escalated to Employee Services Manager.
Provide support and assistance to Employee Services Manager as required.
**To be successful in the role you will have**:
Have a minimum of three years proven Payroll experience.
Human Resources Qualifications is an advantage as is previous Childcare Industry experience.
Previous working experience in MS Office packages, along with experience in payroll systems (SAP and SuccessFactors preferred) and HelpMaster Pro is helpful.
