The Opportunity
ROUSSOS Recruitment is partnering with a well-established national builder, seeking a Senior Architect to take a lead role in driving design across their projects. This is a unique opportunity to work on the builder side, giving you early involvement in projects, exposure to planning approvals, and influence over how design translates into construction. You will collaborate closely with local developers, consultants, and internal project teams, ensuring architectural intent is maintained while meeting program, cost, and construction requirements. This role provides a rare chance to see your design expertise delivered on‐site, shaping projects from the very start through to completion.
The Role
In this role, you will:
* Lead the early design and planning phases, including massing studies, feasibility assessments, and concept development
* Coordinate design across architects, engineers, and consultants to produce integrated, buildable solutions
* Manage services coordination and clash detection to support smooth construction
* Advise project teams on design risks, opportunities, and commercial impacts
* Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including developers and consultants
* Ensure that design outcomes are practical, compliant, and aligned with construction programs and budgets
This role is hands‐on and strategic, providing direct input into projects while working closely with both design and construction teams.
The Like Mind
You will have:
* Senior Architect or Associate‐level experience on mid‐to‐large commercial or multi‐residential projects
* Proven experience managing planning phases, design coordination, and services integration
* Strong understanding of how design decisions impact buildability, cost, and program
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* A proactive, solutions‐focused mindset, able to bridge design and delivery
