About the Role
Haan Health Medical Centre at Broadbeach is seeking a Part Time (3 to 4 days per week) experienced and passionate employee for a dual role as Enrolled Nurse/Medical Receptionist. The business hours are Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. We are a mixed billing surgery that incorporates General Practice & Pathology Services.
We are looking for the best team who work really hard and love what they do. To be successful in this role, you will have current experience in General Practice, fast and proficient keyboard and telephone skills, and be an experienced user of Best Practice Software or similar.
You will need to be punctual, reliable and honest, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will also need to have good communication skills, professional presentation and a positive can-do attitude. Previous experience in administrative/reception roles, preferably in a healthcare setting, is highly desirable.
The key to success in this role is your ability to provide excellent patient care and support, with strong attention to detail and confidentiality. You will need to be able to maintain accurate documentation using Best Practice software, including recall/reminder systems, IT and information management.
This role involves greeting and attending to patients and visitors, answering phone and email communication, scheduling and managing appointments, processing billing and payments, and insurance and claims management. You will also need to be sensitive in your approach when dealing with patients and have a basic understanding of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.

* Key Experience:
o Current experience in General Practice

* Essential Skills for Enrolled Nurse:
o Qualifications and current experience as an Enrolled Nurse
o Current Registration with AHPRA
o Able to handle the treatment room all by yourself
o Provide proficient, evidence-based chronic disease management
o Plan and manage holistic patient care in consultation with medical staff while acting as a patient advocate
o Liaise with hospitals, community agencies and allied health to coordinate patient care
o Maintain accurate documentation using Best Practice software
o Implement general practice management plans and team care arrangements in consultation with GPs and the multidisciplinary team
o Demonstrate understanding of workplace health and safety principles
o Ensure quality systems are in place and reviewed regularly
o Manage supplies and clinical resources within budget
o Ensure clinical governance and safe use of medicines following federal/state legislation
o Practice within the organisation's policy and nursing standards and codes
o Use health literacy principles to lead patient education, community health and outreach programs as well as health promotion initiatives
