Part of the Court and Tribunal Services team, the Court Officer supports the Judge in the effective and orderly conduct of courtroom proceedings. The role provides essential operational, procedural and administrative assistance, including courtroom management, document handling and the use of courtroom technology to support both in-person and digital hearings.
Major Activities
You will be required to undertake a diverse range of tasks and perform a variety of courtroom activities primarily at the request of the Judge or Chambers staff including setting up courtrooms, opening and closing the Court, liaising with legal practitioners and parties, handling and copying documents, administering oaths and affirmations, and operating courtroom technology (including videoconferencing equipment) to support both in-person and digital proceedings such as online hearings and live streaming. When not in court, you will assist with other court-related duties as directed by the Judge, Chambers staff or Court Operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the Court.

Formal Qualifications
Law students and those with previous experience in a legal environment would be highly regarded, but is not essential, as full training is provided.
