Job Title

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance professional to join our team on a permanent part-time basis. Reporting directly to our Chief Financial Officer, you will handle day-to-day finance tasks while supporting the implementation of new systems and improvements to financial processes across the business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key financial functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing management, stakeholder engagement, and process improvement. This role is ideal for someone with extensive experience in finance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role:

* Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts receivable and payable, billing, and other financial data
* Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure smooth financial operations and resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise
* Develop and implement efficient and effective financial processes and procedures to improve productivity and reduce costs
* Provide expert financial advice and support to senior management and other stakeholders as required
* Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to optimize financial performance and efficiency

Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Proficient in Xero, MS Office, and Excel with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail
* Prior experience in the equipment hire industry is highly desirable
* Familiarity with timesheet software (Assignar) and job management systems is an advantage
* Excellent collaboration and communication skills, working effectively with both operational and finance teams
* Proactive and adaptable, with a proven ability to problem-solve and drive system improvements in a dynamic growing environment
