We have a newly created opportunity for a Head of Merchandise Operations to join the team.
Reporting to the General Manager - Merchandise, this senior leadership role will have the exciting remit of leading the development and execution of the merchandise strategy to optimise performance and growth opportunities across the portfolio.
The successful applicant, along with their team will drive operational excellence, process improvements and build cross-functional alignment to support and respond effectively to market dynamics.ResponsibilitiesManage the trade plan to ensure strong customer centric trade plan to drive sales and profit growthManage range reviews and space planning to maximise return on spaceDeliver great availability for stores and customers whilst managing working capital and clearance outcomesWork in partnership internally to utilise data and customer insights to optimise merchandise resultsDeliver continuous improvement and a shift in merchandise capabilityDrive the merchandise transformation agenda and roadmapManage cross functional relationships to ensure that the business is aligned to drive excellent executionCreate a strong and valued business partner mentality between merchandise operations and the category trading teamsOptimise our ways of working to deliver efficiency and step change the business outcomesWhat you'll bringTo excel in this role, you would have demonstrated a successful track record in a similar position, with proven capabilities in delivering transformation projects and programs.
You are an ambitious and natural leader with extensive experience leading high performing teams and the ability to influence at all levels.15 years' experience in sales, of which 10 years spent in management rolesHands-on experience in both design and implementation with the ability to articulate pain points, solutions and drive workshopsAbility to work strategically and collaboratively across teams and departmentsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a number of projects simultaneously to tight deadlinesBachelor's degree or higher qualification in Business or a related fieldWhy us?
