We are currently seeking an experienced Purchasing and Inventory Officer to effectively manage the purchasing of inventory and non-inventory items to satisfy the requirements of internal and external customers whilst achieving the targeted goals and objectives of the business.
Roles and Duties
To understand and comply with all Australian government requirements for the import of goods into Australia
Issue purchase orders to vendors for the supply of goods and/or services
Analyse and monitor supplier performance and provide reports on suppliers as directed
Provide backup for Logistics Co-ordinator
Provide clear communication advice to all internal customers on Purchase Order status
Respond positively to all internal customer requests and give direction as required
Manage the purchase requirements of raw materials for the Somerby site
Manage the purchase requirements of recycled materials for the Somerby site
Manage the purchase requirements for stock replenishment as required or as directed by management.
Manage the purchase requirements for non-inventory items and services.
Manage SRS process for customers
Manage the material goods issue in productions orders to match actual usage
Involvement in and preparation of monthly RM and quarterly full stock takes
Attend other key internal meetings with other departments to resolve purchasing issues or other matters as they arise.
Maintenance of import delivery schedules and registers
POSITION COMPETENCIES & CAPABILITIES:
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
Positive Microsoft Word skills
Experience in SAP or similar ERP system
Ability to meet tight deadlines
Work unsupervised
