Role Overview
This is a vital role that requires delivering high-quality, client-centered support services to individuals across the Wollongong and Shellharbour regions. As a Mental Health Support Professional, you will work collaboratively with clients to develop effective case plans, engage with local communities, maintain accurate records, and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver Therapeutic Support: Provide individualized counseling services aligned with established best practices.
* Client-Centred Planning: Develop and maintain clear, achievable case plans in collaboration with clients to promote their well-being and independence.
* Community Engagement: Foster strong partnerships with local organizations and community groups to promote mental health services and resources.
* Compliance & Documentation: Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation that meets organizational, legislative, and funding requirements.
* Continuous Development: Engage in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with industry best practices and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling or a related field.
* A valid NSW Driver's Licence.
* Membership with a relevant professional association (e.g., PACFA, AASW, APS).
* A minimum of 160 hours of client contact experience in counseling.
* Experience working with diverse populations, including families, couples, and children/adolescents.
* Excellent communication and assessment skills.
