Job Description
Our client, a global leader in the oil and gas sector, is seeking an experienced IT Coordinator to join their high‑performing team based in central Perth.
In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for the coordination of our clients IT operations in Australia and working closely with their global team.
You will look after the design, deployment, and security of cloud‑based applications and services while also supporting the organisation’s on‑prem infrastructure and user support functions. This is a hands‑on technical position that blends your project management, software development and infrastructure skills together as you manage 3rd parties to deliver technical solutions.
You’ll play a key role in automating workflows, enhancing system performance, and delivering productive help desk support to users across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing 3rd parties to deliver solutions.
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of custom applications and APIs to support business operations.
- Integrate and automate workflows using Microsoft Azure and other cloud‑native tools.
- Monitor application and system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure reliability.
- Administer and maintain on‑premises servers, storage, and network systems.
- Apply security patches, updates, and configurations across infrastructure and systems.
- Manage IT assets, remote access capabilities, and backup / disaster recovery solutions.
- Oversee procurement, installation, and maintenance of IT and communications hardware.
- Support integration of cloud storage and office productivity platforms.
- Deliver responsive help desk and onboarding support for new staff.
- Lead resolution of hardware, software, and network issues, escalating where required.
- Maintain and improve the internal ticketing system and ensure timely incident resolution.
- Provide technical guidance and training to end‑users on systems and tools.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and internal knowledge bases.
- Ensure compliance with IT governance and security standards.
- Collaborate with teams to automate manual processes and drive efficiency.
- Support deployment and configuration of subscription‑based and enterprise software.
- Participate in planning and review meetings to align system development with business needs.
Your skills and experience :
- bachelor's degree or higher in IT, Computer Science or similar.
- Proven experience in a similar hybrid IT role.
- Strong working knowledge of Cloud Services.
- knowledge of DevOps and System Development.
- Experience managing Windows and Linux servers, networking, and system monitoring.
- Practical understanding of IT security principles and infrastructure best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional technical team.
