**Position Information**:
Bundeena Public School is located in southern Sydney surrounded by the Royal National Park. The school is a focal point for the community and caters for students Kindergarten to Year 6. Bundeena Public School has 17 teaching staff with a student enrolment of 189. The school has strong community ties and is supported by a dedicated P&C. Our school motto 'Live for Life' encapsulates our belief in developing students to be safe, respectful and active learners. Students have high levels of access to technology, strong social networks, a range of leadership opportunities and a creative and practical arts program that is valued within the wider school community.
**Selection Criteria**:
- In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary with demonstrated capacity to balance exemplary classroom teaching practice with the complex leadership and management role of an Assistant Principal.
- Proven ability to work cohesively as a member of the executive team to initiate programs and to lead and implement the school improvement plan.
- Ability to lead programs that promote the wellbeing and engagement of a diverse range of learners.
- Outstanding leadership skills with demonstrated ability to lead professional learning strategically and collaboratively in pedagogical change that embeds quality teaching and evidenced-based practices across all curriculum areas.
- Proven ability to implement, manage and lead school programs in Information and Communications Technology.
**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
- 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs- 3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams- 4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents- 5.
