Our client, a growing organisation in the resource development sector, is looking to appoint a high-calibre leader to take ownership of the strategic advancement of major, long-life resource assets. Its portfolio covers the full project journey, from early exploration and project definition through to construction, operations, and future growth phases. In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and delivering the organisation’s long-term direction, while establishing and leading a high-performing team with a strong sense of purpose. The role will be instrumental in driving the development of significant resource projects, embedding the right culture, and overseeing complex delivery milestones over the long term. Key Responsibilities Lead and grow a multidisciplinary team from the early development phase onwards Oversee stakeholder engagement, enterprise risk, and the organisation’s external reputation Drive project delivery over the long term, from initial concept through operations and future growth Provide overall strategic direction across the organisation’s functions Create and implement organisational design, hiring plans, and retention initiatives Foster and entrench a culture of safety, accountability, performance, and precision Direct project-related activities including scoping studies, development strategy, execution planning, and permitting approaches Requirements Essential Experience leading, mentoring, and developing teams across a range of career levels Demonstrated executive leadership capability, including building and scaling teams or organisations Strong commercial and operational judgment, with the ability to assess risk, make sound decisions, and deliver results Proven ability to combine strategic thinking with practical, hands-on execution An entrepreneurial, self-driven approach with the ability to thrive in a changing environment Demonstrated success working within complex environments involving multiple stakeholders Preferred Experience with permitting, regulatory processes, and stakeholder engagement Background within the resources, energy, or infrastructure industries Exposure to international partnerships or cross-jurisdictional project structures Experience in the development and execution of large capital projects Benefits Attractive bonus and incentive framework linked to performance Base salary of AUD $300,000 – $350,000 Exposure to globally significant, large-scale projects The opportunity to establish and lead a business from the outset A long-term career opportunity with meaningful impact Equal Employment Opportunity and Non-Discrimination Policy Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Both Keller Executive Search and our clients are Equal Opportunity Employers.
