Deliver software and COTS projects Project Manager – Application Delivery (PRINCE2 Environment) A large Queensland Government department is seeking a Project Manager to lead the delivery of application and software development projects from initiation through to closure.
Working within an Agile and PRINCE2 governance framework, you'll manage multiple concurrent projects or technical work packages, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
This is a hands-on delivery role suited to a highly organised and proactive professional who can balance governance, stakeholder management, and technical delivery within a complex environment.

Key Responsibilities: Plan and coordinate project activities, resources, and schedules to achieve agreed outcomes.
Deliver projects within agreed budget, timeframe, and quality baselines.
Produce project documentation in line with governance and assurance frameworks (PRINCE2, Agile, MSP).
Develop and implement project communication, change management, and benefit realisation plans.
Engage with key stakeholders including project executives, governance boards, suppliers, and other delivery managers.
Manage risks, issues, dependencies, conflicts, and change requests.
Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
Lead and support project teams to achieve delivery milestones and maintain quality standards.
Provide accurate and timely project reporting to governance forums and stakeholders.
Ensure all project administration and compliance activities meet internal standards and processes.
About You: Demonstrated experience delivering application or COTS implementation projects in complex ICT environments.
Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects or work packages.
Strong understanding of PRINCE2, Agile, and MSP methodologies.
Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and negotiation skills.
Skilled in risk, issue, and financial management with a focus on delivery outcomes.
PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification (mandatory) .
Experience in software development projects essential.
Proficiency in Microsoft Project highly regarded.
Experience across both public and private sector environments desirable.
