The Mobile Maintenance Planner will be responsible for developing, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities for mobile plant and equipment.

Deflector Operation consists of two high-grade, narrow vein Gold/Copper mines, located 160km east of Geraldton.
The ore is contained in a series of structurally complex lodes, namely the Deflector and Deflector South West deposits.
Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Superintendent, the Mobile Maintenance Planner will be responsible for developing, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities for mobile plant and equipment to ensure optimal availability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
The role works closely with supervisors, trades, and stores to plan and prepare maintenance tasks in alignment with operational requirements, safety standards, and statutory compliance.
This position will be offered on an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth or 8:6 DIDO roster from Geraldton.
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
- Develop and maintain short, medium, and long-term maintenance schedules for mobile plant
- Coordinate with operations to plan downtime for servicing, inspections, and component change-outs.
- Review work orders, determine labour and material requirements, and prepare job packages.
- Ensure OEM recommendations and statutory requirements are incorporated into plans.
- Liaise with supervisors, trades, and stores to ensure all parts, consumables, tooling, and documentation are available before work begins.
- Maintain accurate equipment history, maintenance records, and asset registers in the site CMMS (e.g., SAP, Pronto, AMT).
- Monitor and report on equipment performance, reliability, and downtime trends.
- Identify and plan for specialised services or contractors when required.
- Support supervisors with shutdown and major component change planning
- Review maintenance processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety outcomes.
- Provide feedback on OEM manuals, work procedures, and planned maintenance strategies.
- Accumulator certificates will be registered and maintained as part of the ongoing classified plant plan register
About You
- Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Fitting, Mechanical, or equivalent.
- Experience in mobile plant maintenance within mining or heavy industry
- Proven maintenance planning experience using a CMMS, Pronto and AMT.
- Working knowledge and understanding of the WA Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations and Classified Plant and Registered Plant legislation;
- Consisting of Epiroc Trucks, Sandvik Drills, CAT Loaders with an ancillary fleet of Volvo and Normet equipment.
- Identify maintenance defects by use of the Maintenance Request System for all plant equipment as required.
- Experience with OEM diagnostic tooling and troubleshooting skills.
- Solid understanding of mobile plant maintenance strategies and reliability principles.
- Hold a WA Manual C class Driver License
