The Position
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Trainer - Business Services to deliver face‑to‑face and blended training in Certificate III Business under the Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program. You'll be part of a committed training team helping learners gain the skills they need for employment pathways or personal development, who will benefit greatly from your innovative and flexible expertise.
This exciting opportunity is a full-time 12-month contract based in Caloundra (with fortnightly travel and delivery across other STEPS Education & Training sites - Noosa, Nambour & Gympie).
Your responsibilities will include:
* Deliver accredited Business training and assessment in line with RTO and AQF requirements.
* Use flexible learning methods, face‑to‑face classes, webinars, creative practical activities and check‑ins to support learner progress and boost engagement.
* Support rolling intake learners working at different paces (full‑time or part‑time).
* Mark assessments, track progress and maintain accurate LMS/SMS records.
* Build strong learner connections to encourage participation and attendance.
What You'll Need:
* Current Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or higher in adult education).
* Certificate III in Business (or higher) + current industry experience.
* Demonstrated experience delivering training and achieving learning outcomes.
* Digital skills and confidence using LMS/SMS and webinar platforms.
* A learner‑centred, supportive approach for diverse cohorts
* Patience, communication skills and the ability to build rapport.
* Good organisational skills to manage admin, marking, travel and learner needs.
Applicants must have a current Driver Licence, Working with Children (Blue) card, and ability to pass a National Police Check.
