Calling all speech pathology students and graduates awaiting SPA registration ! Gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment where you'll make a difference while building your clinical skills.
As a Therapy Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering group and individual therapy programs in diverse settings, including customers’ homes, community spaces, educational environments, and swimming pools. You’ll work closely with Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Exercise Physiologists and other allied health professionals, ensuring therapy sessions run smoothly and effectively.
Part time opportunities based at our Wanneroo hub.
As a Therapy Assistant, you will:
* Assist therapists in delivering therapy programs
* Contribute to the preparation of therapy resources and equipment, to ensure individual and community programs run effectively
* Effectively liaise with customers, families, carers, colleagues and community to ensure a coordinated therapy service
Essential Skills & Qualifications
* Currently completing a tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
* Ability to deliver services following handover from therapists independently and as directed by the treating therapist
* National Police Clearance no older than 6 months
* Driver’s Licence
* NDIS Workers Orientation Module
* NDIS Worker Screening check
* Working with Children Check
* First Aid Certificate
* COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate
