About the role:
We are looking for an Category Development Executive who will drive influence across all trade-related activities. Fostering strong cross-functional partnerships to build go-to-market strategies which includes promotions, activations and trade stories. The role requires an understanding of all relevant channels within the market, an intermediate level of shopper knowledge and how to engage customers to support our brands and new product launches.
Role & Responsibilities:
Contribute to the design of the channel strategy principles with input from marketing & customer teams
In collaboration with the Category Development Manager, lead development of 4P Category Success Model (CSM) Principles (eg: Price Index, Promo intensity, POG, Presence/priority ranking)
Complete ongoing analysis of Customer/Category/Brand Market Share insights/analysis
Liaise closely with the brand team to ensure trade assumptions and considerations are accounted for in all projects and business cases
Lead the analysis and deliver actionable insights to customers per category based on strong understanding of the shopper, market, category and competitors
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 2 years' experience across account management, brand management, trade marketing, or category strategy
Experience working on consumer brands in ANZ Grocery and/or Pharmacy environment
Experience working in a cross-functional team
Experience in delivering high volume projects simultaneously with tight timeline pressures
Strong analytical skills, critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills
Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
High-energy self-starter as well as collaborative team player
Exposure to the Grocery, Pharmacy and Specialty Beauty retail environment in Australia
Proven ability to effectively communicate cross-functionally internally and with customers
Demonstrated commitment to building strong business relationships with customers
Microsoft Office competency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint for creation and edit functions
