About the Role
Mater Private Hospital Mackay is seeking a Senior Management Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will provide financial expertise through specialist accounting advice and services to support strategic and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyse financial and non-financial information to enhance decision-making.
* Liaise with cost centre managers to review and analyse financial performance and provide financial input to business interventions.
* Identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and communicate financial risks to the business.
* Understand key drivers of the business and their relation to financial performance.
* Use tools like Power BI to analyse trends and notify the business of associated financial impact or opportunity.
* Monitor financial performance against in-month forecasts.
* Provide financial education and training to the business.
* Support strategic planning and business planning.
* Develop strong relationships with various stakeholders in the organisation.
Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, or Business (or similar).
* Demonstrated experience in operational and financial data analysis, such as month-end results, revenue, costs, margin, and cash flow.
* Demonstrated experience leading within an interdisciplinary environment, empowering staff through values-based management practices.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise projects, and meet deadlines.
* Well-developed data analysis and communication skills.
* Digital and computer literacy, with advanced Excel skills.
