Job Description
The Australian Antarctic Division is seeking an experienced Project Lead to join its Infrastructure Delivery Section. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading a small group of trade specialists, planners, and support staff in planning and delivering construction projects across Australia's Antarctic and sub-Antarctic stations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conducting feasibility studies and developing business cases for construction projects
* Scoping works, procuring consultants, and managing design development
* Coordinating specialist service providers and liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met
* Developing detailed works methodologies covering materials handling, installation, and temporary works
* Monitoring project progress and reporting outcomes to internal and external stakeholders
* Leading and mentoring a small office-based team, with periodical supervision of on-site trades personnel to ensure safety, wellbeing, and quality delivery in isolated environments
* Preparing documents to support decision-making, including scoping papers and project assessments
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualification in Engineering or project management, construction supervisor, or trade qualification (Certificate III)
* Demonstrated experience in project or construction management
* Baseline Vetting security clearance
* Australian citizenship

Deployment:
This role includes non-mandatory periodical deployment to Antarctica or sub-Antarctic islands to directly supervise works on site during summer.
