About The Berry Collective

The Berry Collective is Australia's leading purveyor of berries. It is a Joint Venture between Mountain Blue and Oz Group that connects growers, retailers, and consumers to achieve the best return for growers and the best quality for consumers. Through progressive retailer relationships, a relatable communication style, and a passion for process and quality improvement, our customers keep coming back for more.

At The Berry Collective, we take immense pride in delivering the highest quality fruit to our customers. Our business reputation is built on our commitment to excellence in both products and services. We work closely with farms, warehouses and packhouses that share our dedication, working towards the goal that every berry we provide is something we are proud of.

About the Role

Join The Berry Collective's Finance team as a Category Demand Planner (CDP), specialising in managing a portfolio of growers, packhouses, and retailers. This role requires strong attention to detail and organisational skills, and it requires working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you'll facilitate smooth supply chain communication between the business, customers, and growers.

The CDP will prepare daily information in collaboration with the Category Manager (CM) and work collaboratively and cross-functionally for The Berry Collective (TBC) and its members. They have a "can do" attitude and understand that communication outside of standard business hours is considered a standard part of the role. For the right candidate, there are opportunities for progression beyond this role.

Day-to-day roles include

* Collate the customer and grower forecasts internally for the Blueberry, RUBUS (Raspberry and Blackberry) and Other categories. They will build and communicate the volume and provide it to the Category Manager and provide production plans.
* Prepare the forecasts for our major accounts, including updated forecasts and program changes, in consultation with the CM and Chief Operations Officer (COO).
* Ensuring optimum inventory levels across all SKUs and 3rd party logistic providers (3PLs)
* Managing quality reporting to Growers on a daily basis.
* Provide backup to the CM when they are on leave or unavailable regarding communication with growers and retailers.
* Create tray and punnet forecasts for the CM and COO for internal distribution and assist in managing national volumes nationwide.
* Provide backup support to the Compliance Manager when unavailable or on annual leave.
* Be the first line of support for 3PLs regarding the internally developed management system and administration.
