Primary Objective
Provide high level administrative coordination and support to the Northern Territory Police Force College, Education Support Unit to ensure delivery of effective and efficient client focused services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide high quality coordination and administrative support services for college training activities, including enrolments, classroom set up, session scheduling, credit card purchases and correspondence.
* Carry out information management and record keeping tasks using course administration systems and processes to ensure accurate training records are maintained.
* Undertake projects and other tasks to support the overall operations of the unit, including preparation of resources, survey development and distribution, quality assurance, editing and formatting documents and event management.
* Support the unit to organise ceremonies, graduations and other training events as directed.
* Initial point of contact for general College course administration enquiries; respond promptly and appropriately to any challenges or concerns that arise, escalating or redirecting as necessary.
Selection Criteria
Essential
* Experience in administrative coordination and support of education course/programs in an adult education context.
* High attention to detail to accurately data enter records and maintain information, records and files (paper based and electronic) and manage confidential information.
* Well‑developed knowledge of computer information systems and applications, including word processing, spreadsheets and databases for data extraction, manipulation and report writing.
* Demonstrated planning, organisational and time management skills with capacity to prioritise competing requirements, balance changing priorities, work under pressure and meet critical deadlines.
* High standard of written and oral communication skills with established ability to liaise and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a broad range of stakeholders from diverse cultural and operational backgrounds.
Desirable
* Experience in using Content Manager (TRM), ADAPT, SharePoint, VETtrak or other training/student management systems.
* Project management or event management skills with the ability to travel and work outside of normal working hours as required.
