Job Description
The role of Principal Building Engineer is a critical position within the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership, investigative thinking, and communication skills to contribute to the safety of the Western Australian community.
Main Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver public educational plans and programs to promote appropriate industry practices.
* Monitor trends and lead investigations into structural failure events.
* Collaborate with jurisdictions, Standards Australia, and other stakeholders to assist in the development of technical and safety standards for the building and engineering industry.
Requirements
* A Bachelor's degree in Structural/Civil Engineering with eligibility for membership of Engineers Australia as a Professional Engineer.
* Demonstrated ability to lead investigations into structural failures and develop effective mitigation strategies.
* Extensive knowledge of technical standards and work practices in the building industry.
