OverviewAs the successful candidate, you will work both independently and collaboratively in a safe and qualified manner within DSTG's research facilities.
The successful candidate may undertake tasks like those listed below, noting on the job and formal training will be included to develop your core skills to further your career and meet operational requirements:Diagnose and repair electrical systems through fault-finding and troubleshootingDesign, install and program PLC and data acquisition equipmentInstall and integrate electrical and control systems for large format battery testing and electric motorsMaintain and coordinate repairs of laboratory and field equipmentLead and manage Work Health and Safety (WHS) practices within the teamSupport the smooth operation of essential lab infrastructureSupport and undertake procurement activities for consumable goods (eg credit card purchases)Collaborate with engineers and scientists to deliver safe, high-impact project outcomes

You will bring some of the following skills and experience, and you will be supported through tailored training and development to build the rest over time:A certificate 3/4, diploma or degree in an electrical/technical field2–5 years of relevant work experienceExperience with electrical systems, battery energy storage, electric motors, and PLC/control systemsExperience working with DC voltage systems up to 1000V would be advantageousAbility to interpret electrical schematics, line diagrams, and commissioning documentationStrong fault-finding and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills and a safety-first mindset
