About the role
The Operations Manager is responsible for leading the effective delivery of training and assessment services across SWC Training, ensuring compliance with national standards, optimising operational systems, and supporting sustainable growth.
This role is critical in maintaining quality assurance, managing key contracts and relationships, and aligning operational execution with the organisation’s strategic goals. This position ensures SWC Training operates efficiently, meets its funding and regulatory obligations, and delivers a high-quality student and partner experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee day-to-day operations of SWC Training delivery, including trainer management, student services, and administrative support functions.
* Manage resource planning, scheduling, and delivery logistics to ensure timely, compliant training across multiple sites and client partners.
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, quality, and learner outcomes.
* Ensure full compliance with the Standards for RTOs (2015 / 2025), funding contract requirements (e.g. VIC, NSW, QLD, WA), and relevant legislation.
* Manage operational delivery of government-funded contracts and ensure adherence to service agreements.
* Lead, mentor, and support a team of trainers, coordinators, and administrative staff to deliver high-quality training and student outcomes.
* Manage reporting of training activity, student progress, completions, and funding claims.
* Monitor operational KPIs, including course delivery timelines, student satisfaction, trainer utilisation, and compliance benchmarks.
* Champion effective use of LMS, SMS, and CRM platforms to improve workflow, data accuracy, and service levels.
* Promote a culture of accountability, achievement, and continuous improvement.
About You
* Proven experience in operations management within a Registered Training Organisation (RTO)
* In-depth knowledge of RTO compliance, the Standards for RTOs, and state/territory-based funding contracts
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture
* Demonstrated experience managing multi-site training delivery and external stakeholder relationships
* High level of organisational and project management skills
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
* Familiarity with RTO systems such as VETtrak, or similar platforms
