As a key member of our maintenance team, we are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join our Mount Isa branch. This exciting opportunity will see you working on-site and in the workshop, ensuring efficient maintenance of our client's fleet of Sandvik Mining equipment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs of specialist mining equipment within the Sandvik product range. By adopting a proactive stance in maintaining machine efficiency, you will enhance our clients' operational productivity and success, contributing to the expansion of our customer network and the development of our support division.

About this role
* Perform general mechanical duties, maintenance, repairs and fault diagnostics work on all Sandvik Mining equipment.
* Follow and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
* Carry out mechanical maintenance duties as per maintenance plans while upholding the integrity of the equipment and ensuring safe operation is not compromised.
* Providing feedback for efficient maintenance planning improvements.
* Record keeping of parts usage, equipment monitoring and time records
* Support technicians from other regions and assist in training
* Work effectively either in a team environment or autonomously
* Assist with machine audits/inspections
You will need:
* Australian recognized Mechanical Trade Certification is required.
* Demonstrated previous experience with Sandvik Underground mining equipment would be a distinct advantage
* Strong and proven safety culture
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong customer service focus and motivation and determination to achieve targets and goals
* Basic computer literacy
* Ability to work unsupervised
* Class C Manual Driver's License is required.
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, reference checks, police checks and regular onsite drug & alcohol testing
