We are a growing Newcastle-based IT company supporting a wide range of local business clients.
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Level 1 IT Support Technician to join our Broadmeadow team.
This is a full-time onsite role offering varied work, great team support, and opportunities to grow into Level 2 responsibilities.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for clients, you will provide high-quality phone, remote and onsite IT support.
You will troubleshoot a range of technical issues, manage tickets, assist with Microsoft 365 administration, and help maintain strong relationships with our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Answer incoming support calls and assist customers professionally
Provide remote helpdesk support and resolve technical issues
Build and maintain positive, friendly customer relationships
Manage and update tickets in the support system
Administer Microsoft 365 (user setup, licensing, groups, basic security)
Set up and configure NBN and Telstra modems/routers
Troubleshoot basic networking (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WiFi issues)
Support VoIP phone system setups and changes
Diagnose and resolve printer, email, and connectivity issues
General IT support for a variety of business clients
Occasional onsite visits to client locations (vehicle or mileage provided)
About You
We are looking for someone with real hands-on IT support experience and excellent communication skills.
Candidates must have valid Australian work rights or appropriate visa authorisation to work in Australia.
You will ideally have
1–3 years experience in a helpdesk/IT support role
Strong phone manner and customer service skills
Good understanding of Windows troubleshooting
Experience with Microsoft 365 admin
Intermediate Microsoft 365 administration experience including user setup, licensing management, and group configuration
Basic networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, IP addressing)
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Highly regarded but not essential
MSP or managed services experience
Telstra/NBN experience
Field work or onsite support experience
