Right now, an exciting opportunity exists for two (2) permanent full time Parks Maintenance Officers to join our Engineering and Infrastructure Directorate in Moranbah. Reporting to the Team Leader-Parks & Recreation, this position is responsible for the repair, maintenance and upgrades of Parks and Recreation irrigation systems. They are also responsible for carrying out grounds maintenance of community usage areas including sportsgrounds, parks, open space and cemeteries for Isaac Regional Council. ABOUT YOU
* A minimum of 12 months experience in a similar role
* Knowledge and use of automated irrigation systems, travelling irrigators, sucker vac machines and pumps
* Knowledge and experience in basic mechanics, general grounds maintenance and gardening is required
* Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
* A sound understanding of Workplace Health and Safety
* White Card - Construction Induction
* ‘C’ Class Open Australian Drivers Licence
* Ability to pass pre-employment functional assessment and/or behavioural testing
* Mini excavator competency ticket (desirable)
* Possession of a current C Class Open Australian Drivers Licence
