The Opportunity
We invite experienced Legal Secretaries to register their interest for future opportunities within Ashurst's Legal Operations team. Our Practice Executives (Secretary/Executive Assistants) provide high-level secretarial and business support to the Partners of our Melbourne office.
Some key areas of responsibility include (not limited to):
Practice and client management including general administration and data entry
Business Development/Marketing including event management
Monthly billing/invoicing requirements
Monitoring and managing inboxes for Partners
Diary and travel management
The Practice Executives play a pivotal role within the firm, ensuring that support services to legal staff are delivered appropriately and within a timely manner. You will also work closely with our dedicated hub of Team Assistants and Team Executives who will assist with administrative-based tasks.
Requirements
Experience as a Legal Secretary
High level of attention to detail
High degree of initiative, pro-activity and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to take ownership for the completion of tasks/projects and deliver innovative solutions to improve systems or work practices
Excellent relationship-building and organisational skills
Strong written communication skills and keen attention to detail, with the ability to draft correspondence and presentations
Ability to pick up new systems with ease, and intermediate to advanced technical skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
