Melbourne | 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
A well-established and highly regarded retail group is seeking a Group Lease Manager / Senior Lease Administrator to join their Melbourne-based property team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is a hands‐on, commercially focused role supporting the General Manager – Property across a dynamic, multi‐brand retail portfolio. You'll play a key role in ensuring lease accuracy, supporting portfolio performance, and working closely with stakeholders across property, finance, legal, and retail operations.
The Opportunity
You will sit at the centre of the property function, managing lease administration end‐to‐end while gaining exposure to broader portfolio strategy and decision‐making. This role offers strong visibility, a collaborative team environment, and the chance to work across a well‐known retail platform.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage lease administration across renewals, assignments, new sites, and terminations
* Review and coordinate lease documentation in line with agreed commercial terms
* Maintain and ensure accuracy of the property and lease database
* Support financial processes including rent, outgoings, and reconciliations in partnership with Finance
* Assist with reporting, budgeting, and feasibility analysis for property decisions
* Liaise with landlords, centre management, legal teams, and internal stakeholders
* Coordinate execution of lease documents and track through to completion
* Support the General Manager – Property with portfolio management and strategic initiatives
About You
* Experience in lease administration, property administration, or a similar role
* Experience supporting a multi‐site retail portfolio
* Strong understanding of lease terms, including rent, outgoings, and key obligations
* Working knowledge of the Australian Retail Leases Act
* High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
* Confident communicator with the ability to engage across multiple stakeholders
* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
* Experience with lease management systems (e.g. Lease Eagle, ProLease) is advantageous
