**About the Role**
We are seeking experienced Patient Services Assistants to join our General Services Team at Dandenong Hospital and work in Emergency Department, Diagnostic Imaging and ICU wards.Your main focus will be to provide excellent support-based patient services. Your duties will include patient transfer between wards/imaging, patient turning and ward cleaning. You will work under the Direction of Nursing Managers, Nursing Staff and the Support Services Leadership Team.The Patient Services Assistant responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Daily and discharge cleans
- Transfer and cleaning of ward equipment
- Department and ward cleaning
- Use of lifting equipment; bed movers and wheelchairs
- Patient transfers - wards / imaging
- Bed moves within unit
- Assisting nursing staff as requested
**About the Positions Available**
There are 3 Positions available, as per the below templates. All are permanent Part time role and all are for the overnight shift pattern:
- Position 1 Permanent Part Time 51 Hrs
- Position 2 Permanent Part Time 56 Hrs
- Position 3 Permanent Part Time 55.75 Hrs
**Position 1 - ED & DI : Permanent Part Time 51 Hr**
Week 1: Tuesday, Wednesday & Saturday (2300/2330 - 0730)
Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday & Sunday. (2300/2330 - 0730)
Week 3: Tuesday, Saturday & Sunday (2300/2330 - 0730)
Week 4: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (2300/2330 - 0730)
**Position 2 - ED & ICU : Permanent Part Time 56 Hr**
Week 1: Thursday &Sunday (2300/2330 - 0730)
Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday. (2300/2330 - 0730)
Week 3: Thursday, Friday & Saturday (2300/2330 - 0730)
Week 4: Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday (2300/2330 - 0730)
**Position 3 - ED & DI : Permanent Part Time 55 Hr**

**About Us**
Our Support Services team provides a range of essential non-clinical services that help our hospitals run. We provide food services, central production kitchen, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services.

**Mandatory requirements of the role - qualifications, licences, memberships**:
- Certificate III Health Services Assistant (Essential)
- Previous patient services or patient care attendant experience
- Excellent understanding of patient identification procedures
- Ability to comprehend and follow written instructions and procedures
- Able to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling
- Excellent understanding of cleaning methodologies and infection control procedures
- Ability to work with a cohesive team or individually to complete daily tasks
- Basic to intermediate digital literacy
