The Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) is seeking a highly motivated VET Practitioner SME (Government) (CIT Solutions Transition) to support the CIT Solutions Transition Group. The VET Practitioner SME (Government) (CIT Solutions Transition) reports to the Director, Operations – CIT Solutions Transition and is responsible for: Provide subject matter expertise and advice in the relevant area of specialisation (public sector / government). Design solutions for tender responses. Design and develop accredited and non-accredited programs. Provide advice and insights to facilitators on how to meet the needs of learners and deliver to organisational requirements. Ensure accredited programs meet compliance requirements. Undertake recognition processes for accredited programs aligned to subject matter expertise. Apply methodologies, tools and techniques appropriate to the training product(s) in accordance with CIT policies and procures for researching, designing and developing programs. Use sector knowledge to contribute to commercial tenders. Undertake compliance tasks as part of program development, such as mapping, TAS and design briefs Facilitate pilot courses and programs. Assess the competence of learners and provide continuous feedback for improvement as required. Develop and maintain strong industry networks to identify industry needs and emerging training approaches for the public sector/government industry and reflect those in training. In consultation with clients, identify opportunities and trends and develop aligned products. Seek direct feedback from facilitators and use client and learner feedback to review, adjust and update learning products. Lead or contribute to special projects. This position does not involve direct supervision of staff.
