What is your role?
As Senior Engineer – Vertical Transportation, you will lead the design and implementation of complex vertical transportation systems across major commercial, healthcare, and industrial projects. You will act as the primary technical authority, working closely with high-profile clients and guiding a multidisciplinary engineering team to deliver innovative, compliant, and highly efficient mobility solutions.
Your key responsibilities include:
* Leading the end-to-end design and engineering of advanced vertical transportation (VT) systems, including lifts, escalators, and moving walks.
* Collaborating directly with clients, architects, project managers to define complex project scopes and deliver tailored engineering solutions.
* Mentoring and guiding junior design engineers, providing advanced technical expertise to elevate the broader team's capabilities.
* Conducting VT traffic simulations and technical design calculations utilizing specialised software such as Elevate.
* Attending site inspections and condition reporting to review the quality and compliance of VT installations.
* Preparing comprehensive reports and technical specifications for major project milestones.

About You
* Qualifications: Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering; holding or actively working towards relevant certification and registration.
* Experience: 7+ years' experience in the vertical transportation industry, demonstrating a strong track record of delivering complex projects and leading technical design.
* Technical expertise: Deep knowledge of VT systems, installation methodologies, local safety codes, and advanced traffic analysis.
* Systems: High level of proficiency in VT simulation tools (e.g., Peters Research Elevate).
* Attributes: Exceptional communication skills, highly organized, and confident in managing senior stakeholder relationships while driving team success autonomously.
