Desktop Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and resourceful Desktop Support Specialist to join our team.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing technical support for employees, focusing on desktop operating systems, messaging, networking, and hardware configurations. They will be responsible for imaging new and existing hardware, setting up user profiles, and assisting with data migration as needed.

Responsibilities include:

* Imaging new and existing hardware pre-deployment
* Setting up user profiles and assisting with data migration
* FOLLOWING established procedures for imaging, hardware deployment, software installation, password resets, media distribution, loaner equipment, customer handling, and escalation protocols
* Offering Tier 2 technical support to other members of the Help Desk staff
* Handling advanced troubleshooting calls
* Working with Systems Administrators and other members of the IT team on internal projects when necessary
* Participating in both local and global projects

Requirements:

* Top performer with broad range of technical troubleshooting skills
* Comfortable working with end-users in pressure situations
* Ability to support internal employees from C Suite to entry level stakeholders
* Desire for continuous learning and development
* Good English communication skills
* Australian citizen or Permanent Resident

Preferred Qualifications:

* Hands-on experience in Laptop build process supporting Windows & Mac OS
* 2-3 Years' experience in desktop support
* Knowledge of Apple Macintosh Operating Systems (MacOsx) and Applications
* Exposure to PC/Mac hardware, troubleshooting, and repair
* Exposure to desktop support utilities such as Symantec anti-virus and spyware removal tools
* Knowledge of VPN, WIFI, and other remote access methods
