The role: As one of their Supervisors you will be expected to project manage and supervise the subcontractors and ideally understand maintenance and remedial issues on homes.
You will have supervised contractors on these kind of works for an Australian recognised building contractor.
This is a fast paced environment and you will need to show initiative, take ownership, communicate well and effectively be able to sequence, co-ordinate and organise your day.
This role would suit an adaptable trade person even a leading hand, looking to step off the tools and to the next stage in their career.
Duties:Managing contractorsReporting using computer packagesManaging onsite issuesWorking to deadlines, contract and project time frames.Inspect and scope properties for maintenance worksConduct site inspections during and after work completion to ensure properties are up tostandards Supervise subcontractors and employees whilst working on siteEnsure the communications process is implemented on siteAdvise tenants of work schedules and maintain liaison with all relevant stakeholdersManage site queries from trades and tenantsProvide daily reports to the Project Manager as requested including all interactions on siteincluding but not limited to subcontractors, staff, suppliers, issues and work completedCarry out technical inspectionsComplete and return required work order paperwork requested by the HSQE ManagerAny other ad-hoc duties as requiredSkills, Experience & About You Trade Qualified – Carpenter, Brick Layer 2 years plus experience working for a Australian Contractor, ideally on Residential projects or Social Housing contracts.You will be highly motivated and ambitious with drive and passion in a leadership capacity.Confident and looking to exceed in all facets of your work.
