SCI is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Underwriter to join our Underwriting team in Perth or Adelaide! In this market‐facing role, you'll build strong broker and strata manager relationships, support business development, and deliver high‐quality underwriting that drives growth, profitability, and exceptional service.
What You'll Do:
* Build and maintain strong client relationships across the strata market.
* Support new and renewal business to meet growth and financial targets.
* Use Power BI insights to understand portfolio and market trends.
* Represent the SCI brand at industry events and networking activities.
* Deliver responsive, solutions‐focused underwriting within guidelines.
* Collaborate with Claims and Business Development teams to enhance the customer experience.
* Ensure strong data integrity, compliance, and adherence to underwriting standards.
What You Bring:
* Proven underwriting and insurance industry experience.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‐building skills.
* Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‐paced environment.
* A track record of meeting revenue, retention, and profitability targets.
* A curious mind to find solutions for customers and improve the way we work.
You must have full working rights in Australia to be considered for this role.
