Job Overview
Key Responsibilities:
* To effectively operate plant and equipment, we encourage a willingness to receive training.
* Regular maintenance of the plant is necessary on a daily basis or as required.
* Ensure plant is maintained in a clean and safe working environment.
* Complete prestart inspection sheets prior to operating plant and equipment.
* Quality control is essential; monitor materials for quality and quantity upon delivery to site, with any discrepancies reported to the supervisor.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Nationally Recognised Construction Induction is mandatory.
* Current Licences/Certificates of competency for machinery are required.
* Three years experience in operating earthmoving/load-shifting equipment within the civil industry is preferred.
* Knowledge and relevant work experience in the operation of plant and equipment used on road construction, drainage maintenance, subdivision and general building sites is beneficial.
* Experience in the safe operational procedures of mechanical plant in construction is highly valued.
* The ability to read and comply with approved traffic control plans and road construction plans is crucial.
