Lead Oracle DBA & Data Platform Automation Specialist (TSPV)
Step into a lead-level role administering and uplifting complex Oracle database environments. You'll bring deep Oracle and Linux expertise, drive automation, and ensure high availability, performance, and security across critical platforms.
Location: ACT, VIC
* Contract Duration: 12 months + 2 x 12-month extensions (up to 36 months total)
* Security Clearance Requirement: Must hold a current TSPV (Top Secret Positive Vetting) clearance
* Closing Date: Wednesday, 28 January 2026
Essential Tasks:
* Administer and sustain enterprise Oracle databases in a Linux environment (BAU + uplift)
* Implement automation to improve efficiency and standardise repeatable operations
* Configure and support Oracle Data Guard (physical and logical standby configurations)
* Manage patching, proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation
Key Criteria:
* Strong Oracle DBA experience (PL/SQL, CDB/PDB, auditing, scheduler, monitoring)
* Linux administration skills (shell scripting, crontab) in enterprise environments
* Backup/restore expertise (flashback, restore points) and tooling exposure (e.g., Commvault)
* Ability to program in Java, Python, and/or Perl (at least one)
