Your Opportunity

* Join our team of mobile clinicians as an adult-servicing Speech Pathologist.
* Prioritize dysphagia and communication assessment and intervention for adults living in residential aged care and the community.
* This role is open to recent graduates and experienced clinicians alike.
* A range of full time, part time, and casual opportunities are available.

You will report directly to your state-based Speech Pathology Team Leader and provide high-quality mobile Speech Pathology services to adults in residential aged care facilities and the local community. We cater to individuals with dementia, Parkinson's disease, post-stroke, progressive neurological disorders, and ageing-related decline.

You will have access to a comprehensive support network, including internal clinical supervision, resources, and opportunities to attend workshops. Additionally, you will receive $500 annually to pursue professional development programs that align with your interests.

Your key responsibilities include:

* Managing your calendar to accommodate appointments – we offer flexibility, allowing you to choose your work hours and locations.
* Assessing and diagnosing clients' swallowing and communication difficulties.
* Potential travel to regional locations to support clients.
* Providing telehealth-based dysphagia and/or communication assessment and intervention.
* Liaising with our national team of Speech Pathologists.
* Advocating for support for clients with communication difficulties.
* Collaborating closely with organisational staff, support coordinators, and Plena colleagues to ensure optimal care needs are met.
* Offering consultative and educational support to clients, their families, and colleagues.
