Located in the affluent South Canberra suburb of Deakin, our newly established and growing dental practice offers a wide range of general dental services including routine cleaning and examinations, implants, IV sedation and emergency care. We are a patient centric practice and pride ourselves on each one of our patients receiving exceptional care each and every time - we want our patients to want and look forward to coming back and seeing us. We cater to patients of all ages but do thrive on creating a positive experience for anxious and nervous patients. The practice is a modern fit out with intraoral scanners and intraoral cameras available as well as an onsite OPG and CBCT unit.
We are looking for a dynamic, energetic and engaging Oral Health Therapist or Dental Hygienist to join our friendly, welcoming team of dental professionals.
About the role:
The role is a part time position, ideally 2-4 days per week and 9-5pm, however for the right candidate and fit to our team, we are flexible and are open to negotiating days and hours. Our patient base is growing and have requests for appointments with an Oral Health Therapist or Dental Hygienist already, so someone can hit the ground running and is ready to jump in and take on the demand, would be ideal.
Responsibilities:
Conduct general hygiene and periodontal deep cleaning appointments for patients across all demographics, educate patients on oral health maintenance and work closely with our dentists to ensure regularly reviews and check-ups are conducted in line with the agreed upon schedule. Our dentists generally care for our patients, and we are wanting a someone to compliment this care and complete our patient centric focus.
It is expected that the successful candidate is able to turn over treatment rooms efficiently and independently and also assist with steralisation duties in line with Deakin Dental Care and ACT Health's Infection Control Policy. The practice holds a Health Care Facility and therefore adherence these guidelines is paramount. It is expected the successful candidate assists the Principal Dentist and Practice Manager uphold these standards by consistently demonstrating the correct processes and ensuring our support team are as well.
About you:
Ideally, we would like someone with 5+ years' experience, however, are open to new graduates wanting to start their career. Our team is a small, young team that are close knit and are very supportive of one another, it is imperative that you are a team player, complement our team and are happy to get in and help when needed.
You must hold a relevant tertiary qualification, have current and valid registration with AHPRA and ADA and hold current Public Indemnity Insurance.
