About the Role: The Ward Administration Officer provides essential support to the Nursing Unit Manager, nursing staff, and clinicians and serves as the primary point of contact for patients and visitors. The role involves prioritising and planning workload, receiving daily work requests from the Nursing Unit Manager, and providing support with clerical and administrative processes for the assigned ward. Responsibilities include providing an information service to patients and the general public regarding patient movement and admissions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prioritise and plan workload, including processing daily work requests from the Nursing Unit Manager.
* Perform clerical and administrative processes for the assigned ward.
* Provide information services to patients and the general public about patient movement and admissions.
* Maintain a professional and performance link with the Patient Services and Information Unit for specific clerical matters, training and development.
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Demonstrated computer and data entry experience.
* Experience in promoting and achieving customer-focused service delivery.
* Experience in organising and prioritising workload with minimal supervision in a challenging environment.
