Key Role Information
Reports to: SA State Manager
Location: Adelaide
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Hours: hours/week
Status: Part time contract (until 30th Nov 2026 with potential for extension)
NDS has partnered with Department of Human Services to deliver a sector engagement package in 2026, designed to engage the South Australian disability sector on matters relating to worker and client safety, preventative measures and safeguarding. This role will be responsible for:
* 3 key deliverables, two of which are information and training opportunities, and one is a co-design process
* resourcing and supporting the advisory group
* developing topics and speakers that will be valued by the sector
* developing key stakeholder relationships in the sector to support the delivery of the project
* delivery of the project on time and on budget and including regular reporting to the project funder as required
* contributing to the achievement of the NDS strategy through participation in special initiatives and programs
Skills and Experience
* Demonstrated project management and administrative skills and proven capability to support multi-faceted projects delivered on time and on budget
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing demands
* Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools
* Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and maintain networks with a range of stakeholders
* High level written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and present to diverse audiences
* Proactive and self-driven. Is resilient and adaptable to change course of action as needed.
* Proficiency with the MS Office Suite.
* Experience in the community services sector and ideally knowledge of disability services.
* A tertiary qualification in a related discipline or high level of relevant experience
