We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Planning Officer to join our dynamic statutory planning team. The ideal candidate will carry out high-quality and timely land use planning tasks within Council's Planning Section. As the successful applicant, you'll be part of a motivated team of professionals and work on a wide range of interesting and at times complex planning applications
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to lead and assess a mix of private, community, and public sector projects, using your planning expertise, report writing skills, and strong communication and negotiation abilities.

Key Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualification in Land Use Planning or a related field (e.g. Environmental Design, Architecture, or Geography), with significant experience and a strong understanding of Tasmania's planning system and statutory processes.
* Demonstrated expertise in resolving complex planning matters
* Skilled in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to meet regulatory requirements and community expectations
Position Hours: Full-Time, 76 hours fortnight.
