About the role
We are seeking a Service Manager to join our team at Jayell Ford in Kyabram, Victoria. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our automotive service department. As the Service Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our workshop and providing exceptional customer service.
What you'll be doing
* Manage and oversee all aspects of the service department, including scheduling, workflow, and staffing
* Ensure efficient and timely completion of all service and repair work
* Liaise with customers to understand their needs and provide updates on the status of their vehicles
* Monitor and maintain high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction
* Oversee inventory management and order parts and supplies as needed
* Mentor and train service technicians to develop their skills and knowledge
* Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment
* Prepare detailed reports on department performance and make recommendations for improvement
* Oversee and manage the RACV Callout service operated from the dealership. This includes an on-call rotating roster involving weekends.

* Proficient in using computerised management systems and tools
* Proven track record of leading and motivating a team
* Relevant trade qualifications or certifications
